Egyptologist and social historian, Kara Cooney, has provided another example of how people are misinformed and uneducated when it comes to Kyle Rittenhouse and the events that went down in Kenosha on August 25th, 2020.
In her most recent book, The Good Kings, which is published by National Geographic, Cooney writes: “Or considering 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who used his semi-automatic weapon to kill two black men in Kenosha, Wisconsin, while waging a glorious race war on behalf of his inherited white power.”
Kyle actually shot three white men that evening. Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber were killed while Gaige Grosskreutz survived but was left seriously injured. Kyle was cleared of all charges by a jury following his trial in November 2021 as they believed that he acted in self-defense.
Cooney was pulled up for her comments by multiple people on social media including OANN’s Kara McKinney. She admitted her error, but said she was standing by the white supremacy comments.
Yes. This was my mistake. And caught too late for printing. Apologies. I stand by the sentiment of white supremacy, however.
